Convictions refer to themselves as “Aggressive Worship” and has become clear over their career that the name is fitting. Having first discovered their music with their second EP in 2015 it is clear where they draw influence from. What makes Convictions stand out is their raw honesty in the lyricism and guitar melodies. Emerging from Ohio, built from the ground up, convictions are carving out a name for themselves in the underground heavy music scene.

          What separates Convictions from other bands in the scene is their honest lyricism and ability to touch on dark subject matter in a way that feels authentic and genuine. Through an ever-changing landscape in the heavy music scene Convictions has managed to remain relevant having put out several full-length records and Eps. They continue to write music that uplifts and speaks to a generation of listeners that is yearning to be heard.

          They provide a voice for those who may not have found the words and an outlet for those who need to express things that extend beyond words. The Fear of God finds the band in top form and firing on all cylinders. Convictions are carving out a name for themselves in a scene that is becoming vibrant with color again if you know where to look. Having been with the band since 2015, their career proves that it is essential to create music with purpose and build a devoted fanbase that has walked through the darkness with them all while seeing the bright spots. Sometimes when the floor gives out at rock bottom, convictions has shown that they know how to get up and continue to climb the rope.
